Where to Stay in Seminyak (2026): Areas Compared and Hotels Guides Name

Seminyak is a few kilometres of beach with hotels behind it. Where you sleep changes the trip more than which hotel you pick. Central Seminyak and Kayu Aya's "Eat Street" are where you walk to dinner. Petitenget is the beach-club end. Double Six is quieter and beachier. Batu Belig is calmer, and you'll need a scooter.

No hotel posts a nightly price on a page we could read. So the prices below are other sites' "from" prices, in the currency each one used, and you can't compare one site with another. Nobody on this team has stayed at any of these places, and we haven't checked that each is still open.

Desa Potato Head Bali

The Potato Head complex on Jalan Petitenget. It has a beach club and the Katamama hotel, built from about 1.5 million hand-pressed bricks. Honeycombers, The Urban List, Weseek Travel and The Hotel Guru all name it. The Hotel Guru lists Potato Head Suites and Studios from USD 236. Oyster says music from the club can carry into Katamama.HoneycombersThe Urban ListWeseek TravelThe Hotel GuruOyster

Double Six Luxury Hotel

On the beach at the Double Six end. Get Lost in Bali calls this the laid-back, less hectic part of Seminyak, good for families and beginner surfers. Weseek names it too. We found no price in any guide.Get Lost in BaliWeseek Travel

Central Seminyak and Kayu Aya

Get Lost in Bali calls it busy, polished and classic Seminyak. It suits first-timers, couples, shoppers and people who eat out. It doesn't suit anyone after quiet, a cheap stay or a local feel. You can walk, but the traffic is bad. Eat Street has the restaurants and bars. Jalan Raya has shops and galleries.

Petitenget

Get Lost in Bali calls it stylish and lively. Its main road of restaurants, cafés and bars is "busy on purpose" at night. Breathing Travel calls it more relaxed. The two don't agree, so it may depend on which stretch you pick. Bali Untold says it's the most expensive area.

Double Six, Batu Belig and the inland edge

Get Lost in Bali says Double Six is laid-back, with a wide beach to walk and less noise. Batu Belig is calmer and less polished, and Almost Landing says you'll need a scooter. Inland, Kerobokan and Umalas are cheaper and quieter. Bali Untold calls Umalas a quiet expat area, about 15 minutes from Canggu by scooter.

What it costs, in the currencies sources use

Almost Landing gives these prices a night, with no dates: AUD 398 to 817 for luxury, AUD 125 to 315 for mid-range and AUD 47 to 108 for budget. Breathing Travel gives USD 200 and up, USD 100 to 200 and USD 50 to 100. They use different currencies and bases, so don't compare them. Almost Landing adds that the beachfront costs more and inland is better value.

Hotels guides name that aren't in our data

Five guides name The Legian: Honeycombers, Weseek, The Hotel Guru, Almost Landing and Breathing Travel. No other hotel got more. It's also the priciest in both price lists we saw, at USD 578 and up on The Hotel Guru and AUD 817 on Almost Landing. Five guides name Alila Seminyak too, and Almost Landing has it at AUD 398. Oyster says its beach is good for a walk, not for swimming or lying on. Five guides also name W Bali, at AUD 605 on Almost Landing. Oyster says it's not the place for a quiet break.

The wet season and the beach

The Bali Sun says trash can wash up along the Badung coast, Seminyak included. It's usually worst from late December to early January, and crews clear the sand each morning. Weseek Travel says the best months to go are April to October.
